Every year, Hands on DC works with DC Public Schools (DCPS) as they host Beautification Day, which aims to help get schools spiffy looking for students return in the fall. We are looking for volunteers to help spruce up DCPS facilities before the start of the school year! This year’s event will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012 and will begin at 9:00 a.m. and should be wrapped up by 1:00 p.m. We are working with DCPS right now to finalize our locations and projects.

Unfortunately, we’re not sure if we’ll be in Metro-accessible schools this time around, so please specify if you can come to a non-metro accessible location – we have greatest need for volunteers who are able to drive/carpool to a school in Southeast.
