Work day at LaSalle-Backus Elementary School
On Saturday, November 22nd, Hands on DC (HoDC) was involved in a beautification day at LaSalle-Backus Elementary School located at 501 Riggs Rd, NE in the Lamond-Riggs neighborhood. 35 volunteers were able to complete five projects including: repainting the walls in the auditorium and painting murals; repainting the nurse's suite from pink to white; painting two classroom doors; painting the girls bathroom on the middle school floor; and finally stripping and priming the boys bathroom on the middle school floor which had been covered with graffiti.
