Motivated to lead Hands on DC? We are currently recruiting for a number of volunteer positions to lead our work.
Site Coordinators are responsible for the working with a school to identify suitable volunteer projects, and then leading volunteers on event day. Site Coordinators typically make 1-2 visits to a school prior to the event to meet with school leadership and identify suitable projects. After meeting with the school and identifying projects, Site Coordinators help plan the logistics of the projects, including supply and volunteer needs. Finally, on event day, Site Coordinators lead volunteers in completing the projects at their school. Hands on DC provides training and all the supplies needed for the school.
Fundraising Coordinators secures financial and in-kind support needed to stage our work-a-thons, from local businesses and individual donors. It works in coordination with other coordinators and counts on support from the Board for fundraising strategy development.
If you would like to volunteer with us, please email volunteer@handsondc.org with your name, background, and an overview of which positions you are interested in and why. Interested in volunteering with us in a different way, let us know!
